Well Hmmm....The best laid plans...

Seems like the universe had other plans for MyMomsBibs.com this weekend and for the Huskers football team and fans as well.  Between my stepdad becoming ill and the severe weather we just had to, as they say, "Punt".

Needless to say, we are planning to set up the MyMomsBibs Lemonade Stand outside of the new Vincenzo's location on P Street in Lincoln when the Red and White Huskers football game is rescheduled.  We will also be looking for other opportunities to be at so keep an eye out for posts about upcoming activities.

Don't forget the Toddler Singing Contest!

Visit us at our Lemonade Stand in Lincoln, NE Saturday!

We will be in Lincoln, NE this Saturday, April 14th.

Visit us at our Lemonade Stand outside of the new Vincenzo's Restaurant (Haymarket) location.  We will be there between 11:00 am until between 4:00-4:30 pm.

Come and watch the Red and White game at Vincenzo's or if you are lucky enough to be going drop by before or after to say hi and take a look at our Huskers Bibs.  You can also pop into Vincenzo's and have a brewski and grab a bite to eat.

Mom's Trip Delayed - Keep us in your prayers

We wanted to let you know that Mom won't be able to make the trip to Nebraska this weekend as planned.  Her husband, Chad, became ill the night before she was supposed to travel.  We decided it was more important for her to be with Chad in Houston that here in Nebraska flashing her beautiful smile around Nebraska promoting our fabulous Huskers bibs. We will work to make arrangements when Chad is feeling better to get her up here.

We ask that you keep Chad in your prayers.

Mom Coming to Nebraska This Weekend!

 

Here she is - my Mom - Carol (Carla) Dalton with her little dog Tina.  She will be visiting Nebraska this weekend - April 13-15, making several appearances promoting our fabulous Huskers bibs.  She will fly in Friday and go visit Roz and Shannon at the local company that does all of our embroidery, Austin Embroidery.  Saturday the 14th she will be attending the Huskers' Red and White Game at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln.  Tickets may still be available - hope to see you there!

Nebraska Fight Song Videos

I went out on YouTube and found these videos of two of the Nebraska fight songs.  The videos have the music played by the band and the words are there too.  They are pretty short and are meant to be repeated several times so I think it will be easy to teach your toddler if they don't already know the words. 

Remember to take video of your practice sessions too.  Sometimes the best performances are the less than perfect ones.  Analyze the footage that you have and post the one that is the cutest.

I am also posting a video of the Nebraska Prayer that is said in the locker room before games.  If your little one isn't much for singing try teaching him or her this.  It will count as a "Fight Song" in the MyMomsBibs contest.

April is here! Sunday, April 1st is the day our Nebraska Fight Song singing contest begins. Anytime between April 1 and April 30 post a video of your kiddo singing one of the Nebraska fight songs on our Facebook page or on our YouTube page. Let's hear that spirit! The winner will be featured in our blog. (per Mom and Dad's discretion) and will receive a free MyMomsBibs Huskers baby bib. Audio clips are welcome too. Toddlers age 3 1/2 and under are invited to participate. We are all looking forward to seeing your little cuties in action. We love all things baby and know that once your baby has tried one of Carla's bibs you'll be completely sold on the quality and functionality.

Announcing Upcoming Singing Contest

We will be running a contest from April 1st to April 30th for kids age 3 and under to post a little music video on our Facebook page of them singing one of the Nebraska Fight Songs. Get those little tykes busy learning the lyrics! Let's see who can sing our mighty Huskers onto Victory!

Song samples can be found on YouTube and lyrics can be found on the internet. There are at least three Fight songs to choose from so pick the one that tickles your toddler's fancy.

Fun Times For Nebraska in April

Carla Dalton's visit to Nebraska in mid-April is shaping up nicely.  She will be arriving on Friday, April 13th and visiting Roz and Shannon at Austin's Embroidery. They do all of our custom embroidery for the baby bibs.

On Saturday, April 14th, she will be making an appearance at and attending the Nebraska Cornhuskers' Red and White Game at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln.  The game starts at 1 pm.  Here is the link to get tickets for the game:

Our inspiration, Carla Dalton, will be making appearances in Nebraska in April to promote our bibs. She will arrive in Omaha Friday, April 13th at around noon. That day she plans to visit Roz and Shannon at Austin's Embroidery. They do all of our embroidery. On Saturday, April 14th, she will make an appearance at the Huskers' Red and White Game. The game is at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln and starts at 1 pm. Keep checking for appearance details and itinerary updates.
